Q&A
-
1.
What are the effects of salivary gland Botox?
-
By suppressing the secretion of neurotransmitters distributed in the salivary glands, it temporarily prevents excessive salivary secretion and temporarily reduces the size of the salivary glands themselves.
Precautions
-
▪ You can apply make-up or wash your face right after the procedure.
▪ Embossing (raised texture), bruising, swelling, needle marks, and redness usually subside within 1 to 2 weeks.
▪ You may experience aching or dull pain after the treatment.
▪ Massages (including lymphatic drainage) and hot compresses after the procedure may reduce its effectiveness.
▪ To minimize inflammatory reactions after the procedure, avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and strenuous exercise for at least one week.
▪ Results gradually appear from 1 to 2 weeks, with maximum effect seen between 4 to 8 weeks.
▪ Avoid tough or hard foods.
▪ Occasionally, small lumps resembling candy balls may appear.
If this happens, it means the dosage was insufficient, and additional treatment is recommended.
